In case the Wisconsin State Fair's menu didn't contain enough calories, this year's edition will come with an extra ladleful of gravy – Yung Gravy, that is, as the viral rap star will headline the festival's Main Stage on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The "Betty (Get Money)" and "Mr. Clean" rap favorite (and UW-Madison grad) will be joined at his State Fair show by opening act Nicky Youre of "Sunroof" fame.

Gravy's visit comes after a very busy 2023 summer in Wisconsin for the rap/pop star, performing twice during Summerfest – once as a grounds stage headliner at the Generac Power Stage, then offering seconds as an Amp headliner, subbing in for AJR after a last-minute family-related cancelation (who were already subbing in for the late great Jimmy Buffett).

Tickets for Yung Gravy's State Fair show will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website. Seating at the show will be reserved, with tickets ranging in price from $50, $55 and $60. For more information, visit the State Fair's website

And with today's announcement, here's the almost-complete State Fair Main Stage lineup as it stands:

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
