Hip Hop Hates HIV / AIDS takes place Friday, Sept. 23 at Cactus Club, 2496 S. Wentworth Ave. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the records will spin at 10 p.m.

OnMilwaukee.com music contributor JC Poppe will host the event. DJ Bizzon of The Mad Kids Show on WMSE will take the role of house DJ. Prophetic, Streetz -n-Young Deuces, Lah Kid and Pacino will also perform.

All of the proceeds will go to the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. Poppe hopes to raise $1,000 for the event and asks attendees to donate at least $5 at the door.

"Please join all of us for a hip hop-filled night as we aim to raise money and awareness to fight against HIV and AIDS," says Poppe.

Hip Hop Hates HIV / AIDS is the third fundraising concert event in the "Hip Hop Hates ..." series. The first two events were Hip Hop Hates Multiple Sclerosis and Hip Hop Hates Breast Cancer.
