The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2010. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

This is the second year we've offered the Best Fries category and last year's winner, Cafe Hollander -- with locations on Downer Avenue and on State Street in Wauwatosa -- is again the landslide winner.

Hollander's "frites" beat second-place Saz's fries by nearly 100 votes. Part of what makes ordering the huge cone of frites at Hollander such an enjoyable dining experience is the sharing aspect; one order is always way too much for just one eater.

Then comes the tough part: choosing your dipping sauces. It's no easy task, as they've got 11 to choose from. Ketchup? Please. Not here. The closest you'll find is the curry ketchup, but we recommend going all out Euro and ordering mayonnaise or the roasted garlicaoli sauce. Hell, you can order them all -- they're only $.75 a pop.

Here at OnMilwaukee.com, too, we couldn't agree more that these super thin, upscale pommes frites are the finger food du jour. So, once again, Cafe Hollander got our vote, as well. Here are some of your other favorites.
